The heart of the Sergio Rossi brand continues to revolve around its base in San Mauro, Italy. Despite advances in technology in its factory, fundamentally it remains dedicated to the pure luxury of artisanship, with each shoe undergoing a minimum of 120 essential steps before it is placed in a box bearing the Sergio Rossi name. Learning his craft from his father, Rossi sold his first designs in 1966 – now known as the iconic Opanca shoe, where the sole was curved gently around the foot. Lines and structure remain two key components of the footwear, with the concept of pure, clean design underpinning each collection.
